Supercilious is DONE.
Now before you get your panties in a wet, squiggly bunch, notice I did not mention anywhere that I will stop writing. It’s just that my priorities are now in a whole different planet.
You see, in this new career that I want to get into, everybody knows each other. And having a blog with all my dirty laundry where I can be easily identified has the potential to become a huge liability. At first, I thought about wiping down the blog completely, but then I started reading the old posts and realizing that having a detailed account of important events in your life is something I would like to keep doing, even if I don’t do it as often as before, but I’d like to have my own private little corner of the internet where I can vent and be myself without some asshat coworker or facebook stalker googling you and finding out you devote whole posts to rate and review celebrity penises. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
So what’s the plan?
I’m going to move Supercilious and all its content to a more private spot with a new name and new identity. I no longer care about promoting my writing or getting readers or people commenting. I just want to document stuff. Be some sort of weird narcissistic librarian storing chapters of my own life without having to worry about shit like coworkers or family members snooping around. Right now I can’t be a full time blogger and I don’t think I’ll ever be. But I definitely don’t want to stop writing. That’s why I’m keeping this up and going through the hassle of moving all this stuff instead of wiping it down.
At first I felt bad, but when I look at the state of the “blogosphere” (god I hate that word) right now, I’m like “why bother?”. There are millions of attention whores with a blogger/wordpress/livejournal competing for readers out there, foaming at the mouth at the idea of having at least one single person read their ramblings and leave a comment. And don’t even get me started with Twitter. That is a conversation for another post. Which you will definitely not see here.
As early as 2 years ago puertorrican bloggers were a tight-knit group of people who had a fun thing going on, everybody knew each other (as much as you can know a person by reading their personal shit on the internet), but it was fun, entertaining and to an extent it motivated you to keep writing. Now they’ve all just scattered to different parts of their internet, many of them stopped writing, stopped caring or just ran the life cycle of a blog, which is not that long to begin with. Only the hardest of the hardcore still remain. And the shameless promo whores, of course.
What’s going to happen to this address?
Well, I’m gonna leave it up for a while with this message so everyone can see what’s up. While the hosting time runs out, I’ll just let this place redirect people to my portfolio, which is probably the most important thing in my life right now and the reason why I can no longer regularly update and maintain a low profile blog.
Don’t think of this as Supercilious shutting down, think of it as a Puertorrican gay club, which are notorious for changing their name, decoration and even location on a yearly basis. And also like them, the owner stays the same. Unlike them, this place won’t change because someone got shot or people got sick of ten dollar drinks and stopped going.
Well, people have stopped coming, but that’s to be expected. I don’t update regularly anyway. The only loyal readers are the pervs who stumble unto my site because they googled celebrity cock. Don’t worry my dear one-handed web surfers, Celebrity Penis Review will live on… In another domain.
Yeah that’s all fine and dandy but… what’s the new address?
Aaaaaah, that’s the tricky part. I don’t want anyone and everyone to know right away where I’ll stash my stuff, so If you’re interested in knowing where my new home will be, drop me a comment with your legitimate email (which you’d need to write anyway in order to leave a comment) and I’ll personally send you the new address. If I feel like it.
Besides, it’s not like you won’t be able to find it with some “creative googling”.
By the way this is not a “farewell” post, it’s more like “see you on the other side”. It was fun while it lasted, but I gotta move on.
See you on the flip side, whores.
-K.

Espero en mi apartado mi invitacion, gracias.
