In case you cant decipher what’s in the link or are just too damn lazy to read, the president of the tax and financial commissions, Antonio Silva Delgado, has completely slammed into the mud a proposal that would add an additional 1% tax to all videogames, consoles, and accessories in Puerto Rico. I’ll assume you read my previous rant on the subject. If you haven’t, do us all a favor and CLICK THIS before you go on.
Well, Mr. Silva has furiously slammed the videogame tax idea and has stated that the project is dead and buried even before it hits his desk.
"Personally I’m against it. That tax means to penalize whoever buys those articles. It burrows deeper into people’s pockets and now with the new sales tax no additional contribution should be imposed upon people and that shall not be approved".
Suddenly, my faith in politicians has been raised from nonexistent to slightly there.
He continues to say:
"I see that back in the day the issue was getting your children off the streets, and now that they’re finally inside the house we want to kick them out again because they’re fat and lazy? I know that there are different ways to promote activities to Puerto Rico’s youth that can help keep them in shape. Obviously, playing with videogames will not make you any fatter or skinnier".
THANK YOU! Gawd.
Fortunately this bitchslap will keep THIS MORON and any other cunt rags from devising other ways to fuck honest, hard working taxpayers in the ass. One of the commenters in the previous post sent him a very professional letter explaining all our outrage, of course, in a more civilized language. But the icing on the cake was that in that letter he actually included a link to this blog so he could actually read (assuming that mentally challenged office monkey can comprehend english) what people really think of his "bright idea". I really hoped he clicked on it.
Because honestly, Mr. Gabriel Rodríguez Aguiló,

Now do us all a favor and quit politics.

YAY!!!!
