Nope, no dirty sex related post here, my little perverts. You’ll have to head to my boyfriend’s blog for those.
This is just a short update to tell you all how my computer’s doing. Well, it’s still dead. After waiting 9 days to get a simple diagnostic on what the hell was wrong with it, I had to make it all the way to ConUSA (yes, the CON is intentional) in person, since it seem’s they’re too important to take any calls nowadays. After a lenghty wait, the lizard-man behind the counter finally takes my case, and after I explain to him that I’ve waited more than a fuckin’ week for my machine, he slithers around the back for like 10 min. After hearing in my head the Jeopardy theme song several times, he comes back again, and out of the blue, without lubing me up or buying me dinner or flowers, he slams it into me:
-”It’s gonna be $490″.
-”Eeerrr… what?
-”490 dollars, your motherboard is damaged.”
Holy mother of fuck. Nearly $500 smackers. I immediately called my super genious computer whiz-kid boyfriend and asked him if that was a reasonable price for a motherboard.
He didn’t know shit.
After asking around the other n00bs in his office, they all told him that yeah, in a rough estimate, a laptop motherboard would amount to that. I swallowed my inner Scrooge and payed up.
Yes, it was painful. Thank you very much. And what’s even more outrageous, not only did they rape me mercilessly like a coked up stripper in a bachelor party, they had to go all the way and unload it in my face when I decided to ask about how long would the installation take:
- “Oh, we have to ORDER it. We don’t have that kind of motherboard in stock”.
*SPLORCH, SPLAT, DRIP*
I wiped the figurative cumshot off my face and went out with my head hanging low and my wallet hissing with steam. Oh well, at least it’ll have a warranty… Or at least I HOPE it does. There’s always a fucking catch with these big stores. Yet another week without my (second) most useful appendage.
I also hope they don’t fiddle with my hard drive. I still have faith that they won’t need to fuck with my stuff and I won’t have to lose gigs and gigs of music, work and play.

It just happens that a couple of days ago a reporter asked me for my iPod, for a little phososhoot they had for an article about hearing hazards. And today, as I’m browsing the newspaper, there it was, on page 82, being held by some model skank, and then we see her by herself, looking all flirtatious and coy in her immaculate white casing on page 83. It may be outdated by those newfangled color models and skinny micro-ipods, but she’s still my bitch and I’m damn proud of her. Kudos to my iPod for looking pretty in front of the masses. Te recomiendo que tú mismo montes un clon es lo mejor que hay además le pones las piezas que quieras y compras inteligentemente así pa la próxima jodida de PC la puedas integrar al próximo motherboard. Es difícil encontrar el mismo modelo de motherboard que se te daño pero en el Internet con el código lo consigues. También nosotros lo timadores, ah que diga nosotros los reparadores de PC tenemos que comer jajajajaja.

Blogma, la cosa es que su computadora era una laptop, por eso es que creo que el mobo costó tan caro, de ser una torre yo se la hubiera trabajado sin que le costara el ojo de una cara.
BTW, en newegg venden un poco mas barato que en tigerdirect y tienen mas opciones de shipping a Puerto Rico.

by Kaiser March 11th, 2006 at 10:40 pmMi perdición… Odio bregar con laptops son una jodienda, todas las piezas son difíciles de conseguir además son piezas especiales por ser para laptops y sale más caro de lo normal. Te recomiendo que crees una torrecita bien brutal con todas las cosas que quieras y te saldrá más barato que una laptop. Las laptops son buenas por ser bien fáciles de transportar pero cuando se dañan son una jodienda. Cuando tengo que reparar una laptop veo cual es el problema, yo en lugar de arreglártela te hubiese recomendado que te compres una nueva. El motherboard cuando se daña el costo de la reparación sale bien caro. Mi recomendación olvídate de las laptops y cómprate una torre. Las laptops son buenas pero cuando se dañan es lo peor que hay.

Ya hace par de dias me compré la torre y el disco duro para mi superpowered multidimensional computing station, coffee machine, secadora de pelo y licuadora para margaritas. Las ptras piezas las ordeno por correo, pero poco a poco, no me quiero joder pagando tarjeta de crédito trepá despues del cantazo que me dio ese motherboard.
jajajajaja parece que si estoy atrás, lo que pasa es que de solo pensar en una laptop jodia me entra la locura. Como odio las laptops dañadas, bueno esa PC tuya la quiero ver ¿coffee machine, secadora de pelo y licuadora de margaritas? jajajajajajaja.

No se si ya estas para averiguar alternativas pero por lo menos las piezas con ellos no son caras. El telefono de ellos es: (787) 793-6660.
Laptops son una jodienda arreglarlas uno mismo como lo dice Blog Machine. Me estoy volviendo loco con estas maquinas que danan los discos duros y se sobrecalientan. Tengo que constantemente cambiar los discos duros contantemente.
Lo unico bueno de las laptops es que son portables. That’s it.

by Kaiser March 16th, 2006 at 10:36 amY en cuánto te sale comprarte una laptop nueva??? Aquí por 500 a 700 euros tienes una laptop casi full power, y de 800 a 1200 las más caras. Bueno, las hay de 1500, pero ya eso es otra cosa…
Antes de tomar la decisión, hubieses chequeado cuánto te costaba una nueva equivalente a la que tienes, si la diferencia eran 100 a 200 dólares, vale la pena entonces la nueva.
Pero ya el palo está dao’…
